Temazapam is a powerful benzodiazapine in the same family as Diazapam (valium) and Lorazapam (ativan) perscribed for short term treatment of insomnia. more info at http://temazepam.drugs.com

Quaalude was indeed a brand name for another powerful sleep aid called methaqualone. Metaqualone is chemicly similar to barbituates, but is much more powerful and produces more uphoria (i'm told) than most other sleeping pills. Methaqualone was placed in Schedule I of the CSA of the US in 1984, making illegal to perscribe or possess.
