Default Temazepam with a head injury???

I have post - concussion syndrome following a head injury 3 months ago. I am taking co-dydramol 10mg and Vioxx-accute (rofecoxib, 50mg) for headaches and dizzyness. I also have insulin - dependent diabetes. I was recently perscribed Temazepam 10mg to help me sleep, but am not sure if these are safe to take with pain killers or that they are even appropriate for my problem! Does anyone know? I don't trust a word my doctor says - she's perscribed some pretty wierd things in the past!!!
