hi
new here looking for folks that have or know someone with a seizure disorder?
I have a seizure disorder (gran mal) I took dilantin for many yrs
I,m being told by everyone now that was wrong and I should not have for more than 2. side effects ,long term side effects, any one know.
I am on tegratol now and the side effects from it are scary enough to make me rather have the seizure.
Due to stress I,m getting, worse and I had 3 in one day.
This was the first time this has ever happened in 14 yrs.
I am also being told not to go back to work and because of involvement with srs they applied for ssi diasability .
I also have a bad back I,m only 43 but this last round of seizures really did a number on my brain , my memory is shot, ringing in ears alot of other very real things .
I tried telling my neuroligist this and gave a paper with all this on it and he bles it off and prescribed more tegratol??
I,m very confused now and not sure what to do next .
any one gone through this or have epilespy,seizures etc. I would love to talk Rick
