Default Taking Celexa with Elavil(amitrip.)?

I'm scared. I went to a clinic and she put me on elavil even though I told her I'm taking celexa, 40mg. She wants to try the elavil at night since I have trouble sleeping and am in alot of pain. I've taken elavil before, I wasn't on anything else, and it seemed to help but now I'm taking celexa and I just read that it is a major drug interaction. Why would the doctor prescribe elavil along with celexa if it might have adverse interactions?

Probably because alot of Dr.s are'nt as up to date as far as drug interactions go...I'd bring it to his/her attention a.s.a.p. and let the Dr. do some foot work on this.
