Default Is taking 20 mg's of prozac and and 20 mg's of adderall dangerous?

I don't have medical insurance and need info if anyone would be so kind.

The interaction checker reads "major drug drug", however I did a little research on the net, and even called a couple Walgreen's pharmacists, and came to the conclusion that it should be ok to mix the two, and that in fact, many people do mix them together.

Does anyone have any experience combining adderall with SSRI's?

Any comments and/or help would be greatly appreciated..

Just a friendly bump here.....

Since posting this I've contacted about 5 more pharmacists over the phone and all have said that it is fine to interact the two drugs mentioned in my original post.

I guess I was just perplexed as to why the interaction checker on this very website has them listed as a "Major drug drug" combination that's all.

Still wouldn't mind a little feedback by anybody who has some light to shed on the topic.

I am prescribed that exact amt and drug combo by my Dr. I find no problems at all with the two drugs creating a nasty side effect. A few notes: The prozac took about 10 days for me to really feel my mood lift, which when coupled with the focus and energy adderall gives, allowed me to return to work full time. This is coming out of an opiate detox and completing an I.O.P. for 5 wks, 5 per wk and also on a Subutex maintenance dosage. So basically, if it could pull me out of the depression I had surrounding all the underlying problems there, the drugs definitely do their job. Just watch out abusing the aderall, as you will become tolerant over a rather short period if you have the same experience I did *but no two ppl have the same reactions

And as you did, I checked with a number of pharmacists and doctors, all who said the combo was safe, even with the buprenorphine treatment. Good luck.

Thank you for the informative and reassuring response.

Much appreciated.

Also, congrats on returning to what sounds like a normal functioning life post opiate addiction.
