Default STUPID QUESTION BUT...

SIMETHICONE-- Does this actually help you pass gas, or does it help someone who is passing too much gas? We give it for gas pains and pressure, but I'm still not sure whether it helps with flatus, or if it helps someone who has too much flatus.

Hello,

I've had quite a bit of experience with SIMETHICONE. When my son was an infant we would put it into his formula to break up the bubbles.
I contacted about a half dozen agencies and many web pages before doing this by the way. Anywho it breakes down the surface of the gas bubble and makes it less resistance to pressure. It's not absorbed by the body at all and passes as clear SIMETHICONE. I hoped this helped.
