 side effect of clindamycin?
An adult patient was on Cleocin for 1 week for dental concerns (history of mitral valve prolapse), then had 9 days without it. She then underwent dental root canal and was put back on Cleocin 150mgs, T.I.D.
After 4 days of this 2nd round, developed profuse night sweats and palpitations, that have continued each night for the past 3 nights. On Sunday did not take prescribed dose. She had less sweating and less palpitations. Has not slept for 4 nights now. Is not aware of these symptoms during the day.
Are palpitations, night sweats and insomnia documented side effects of Cleocin treatment?
