seroquel is a strange drug as far as abuse goes. It is not generally considered to have any recreational value, but I have heard of it appering on the black market, generally sold as a "benzo-like" sleeping pill (it is distanly related chemically related to benzos). I don't know that snorting the pill would be effective or produce different results, as it is no a ER formula drug. He may have gotten it from a frend who told him it was a sdeative.

Hi, my mom has been taking Seroquel for about a year (maybe longer) and about a week ago, she said she's been shaking- her hands are trembling and her knees also. I remember seeing her hands shaking a couple of days ago. So is this possibly tardive dyskinesia, which is a possible side effect of Seroquel, which in some people can be permanent. Has anyone had similar effects with this drug? I told her to stop taking it until I can discuss this with her doctor. Let me know if you're having similar problems with this drug. Thank you

If anyone can help I need to know about taking this drug during pregnancy. I know that you are better off not having anything when your pregnant but I can not put my mental health at risk either. Any feed back would be great. Thanks

I have been taking Seroquel for about 5 months now. I'm on 100MG, I take it at night. Even if I go to bed early that ******** seriously...knocks you out for SO LONG. I try to wake myself up at a reasonable hour, I just can't do it. I was looking on the web here, and found out a lot about this drug.

I'm suddenly feeling blank, and I do not want to eat anything, I have to force myself to eat. This drug is only good for at night, as far as during the day NO, you can't take this during the day DO NOT DO IT. SERIOUSLY.

I hear people are sniffing this too? Seriously...I don't know, man.

I try not to take it every night.

Nikija...Be sure to tell your doctor that you are pregnant...the literature is clear that the benefits must outweigh the risks when pregnant. Safety and efficacy have not yet been determined during human pregnancy. The choice should be between you and your doctor. Take good care of yourself, best of luck, and bless you.

Did your mom miss any doses? Sometimes missing doses can begin a withdrawal syndrome that includes shaking - especially in the hands. My suggestion is that she should not stop taking it, but go in to talk with her doctor asap. Take care and bless you for caring so much about your mom.

My husband was presribed Seroquel when he started having panic attacks. It was to help him sleep. I think he was taking the lowest MG of the drug and it still put him on his as*. I was in pretty bad car accident and when his parents called he didn't answer, so they came over to our house and he was asleep. They could not wake him up for anything. I took one of his Seroquel not long after the car accident to go to sleep because I was in so much pain. It feels like I could have slept for a week or longer. I woke up groggy and not motivated.

Now about the sniffing of Seroquel. I have never personally known anyone to sniff or use Seroquel recreationally, but and I know this will probably sound like the most ridiculous reason, but there are alot of rap songs that talk about taking Seroquel and getting high. I don't know how they can get high off of it and not sleep, but they do rap about it.
