Percocet is a combination of
oxycodone hydrochloride and
acetaminophen. Roxicodone is basically just oxycodone hydrochloride. There are some inactive ingredients in both medications. They are both schedule II drugs. Percocet is available in an assortment of doses and combinations of acetaminophen while Roxicodone is available in either 15mg or 30mg doses. The acetaminophen helps to make the oxy work better in percocet and one can take less of the oxy. The downside is that if you take over 4000mg of acetaminophen in a day it is toxic to your liver. This limits the number of percs we can take without causing damage. The stronger percs have high amounts of acetaminophen which limits us to taking no more than eight pills in 24 hours without consuming toxic levels. There are lots of differences and these are two totally different medications even though they both have oxycodone. They will both show up as an opiate on a standard five or nine panel urine test. Hope this helps some.
