I am looking for the correct dosage of rondec dm (generic name carbofed) for a 5 year old that is 48 lbs. If anyone can help please let me know. The doctors office and the pharmacy is closed. My doctor gave one prescription for both of my kids and it only has my sons information and dosage on the bottle. He is 2 and the dosage is 1/2 teaspoon every 6 hours.

I think the dosage for your 5 year-old child would be the same - 1/2 tsp. every 6 hours (4 times a day).

My 5 year old weighs 44 pounds and he takes 3/4 tsp.
My 3 year old weighs 36 lbs and she takes 1/2 tsp.
