Risperidone and soda/tea???

href='http://www.drugs.com/risperidone.html' target='_blank'>Risperidone oral solution should not be mixed with tea or cola. It may be taken with water, coffee, orange juice, or low-fat milk.
I never knew this I have a 7 yr old son on this medication what are the side effects if any if he is given soda or tea?
