Default Risperidone (Risperdal)

Hello

I have been perscriped 0.5mg Risperidone to take as and when I need it - to help with psychosis/anxiety/other personality disorders. The drug works amazingly well but I would like to take it as little as possible.

Would anyone know how long the effects of a 0.5mg tablet would last for? I last took one around 3 days ago and the effects are still there.

Thankyou

I'm not sure on an exact time breakdown of how long an 0.5 pilll would last for, but I know it wouldn't last for 72 hrs. The majority of medicines out there last from 4-6 hrs, some longer some shorter. It's probably a good idea that your trying not to take it that much though.

Hi shredded20, thanks for the response. Yes the reason I want to take it as little as possible is because I was on it about two years ago. I was taking a tablet everyday but stopped as the negative effects were outweighing the positive and I basically felt like a zombie.

So now a few years on and i've decided to start taking again but only when I really need it. I still haven't taken another one (for about a week now) and i'm sure its still doing something for me, although perhaps its just psychological!!

Hey PaulBr. A few quick questions, I hope you will answer them for me. I have been proscribed Prozac [20mg daily] Prozac is nice for dealing with my slight depression problems, however I feel I need help to deal with my ADD, and I am fairly certain I am plagued with OCD [Obsessive Compulsive Disorder] My doctor will not prescribe Ritalin or any other ADD meds for me, because according to him those meds will negatively interfere with my Prozac. I solved this problem by buying Ritalin and Adderall from friends of mine. I know this is dumb and dangerous, but it does the job, and gives me a nice recreational buzz (Yeah, I often partake in the doobage and various other mind altering substances or fun, so what?)

Anyways, one of my friends who gave me study-buddies and ritalin, told me that his mom had been prescribed this drug called Risperdal. I researched Risperdal and what i found out was that its used to treat OCD, bi-polor, aggression, and was classified as an anti-psychotic . I decided to take a .5mg does of it to see what effects it would have on me and see if it would at all help my OCD. My attempt was in vain. I experienced no effects whatsoever. Then later on, i was out of drugs, and out of money, and i needed to get high a.s.a.p. I was about to head to the store to punk some Triple C's when I remembered I had a Risperdal left. So, being the pathetic uneducated, desperate junkie that I am i ground the little red pill up and whiffed it. I felt nothing, once again.

PaulBr, is there any recreational use that can be had from Risperdal? If so, must one take it everyday in decent dosages before any effects are to be felt? Thank you for your time.

Fearin Jail, but Crack sales have got me livin well. Struggling to keep up in this thug life, dealin' dope in this druglife. Ridin wit 2 crips, glokoma on ma hip, ridin wit 2 clips
