Default Restoril

I was prescribed 30mg of Restoril @ bedtime to begin with. This was not working and I still was NOT sleeping. My Physician increased the doseage to 60mg @bedtime and because I also take Tylenol #4 my pharmacist said that "if I took this mg of Restoril I may not wake up"!!! I not only contacted my doctor immediately, but just out of curiosity my wife called the poison control center and they stated that the pharmacist was wrong! I would DESPERATELY like to hear from a physician out there regarding this matter.

Any time you mix an opiate with a benzodiazepine there is a risk of respitory failure. If your opiate tolerant and are taking the presribed amounts then your chances of respitory failure are slim but it is good to know that you can't just take another Restoril pill because you can't sleep.Dave
