Default is restolin less addictive then xanex?

I have a severe insomnia problem, and I've been using 1/2 mil of xanex for 11 months, I know I'm at extreme risk of dependency, so I've taken the opportunity that came with a surgery (pain pills) to start sleeping without it. My surgeon gave me restolin for sleep and when I go off the pain pills, probably tomorrow, (it's been 4 days and I'm down to one for sleep) I will probably try the restolin. I sometimes go 4 of 5 days without any sleep, and never sleep more then a couple of hours without help. I tried everything natural and life changes for 10 years prior to giving in to a prescription, and having a full nights sleep has been life altering. My mental health has completely turned around to the best since I have been sleeping, but I'm really afraid its a double edged sword. Anyone have knowledge of these benzos?

i dont have any advice for you about the restolin, but i do battle with sleep myself. i, like you, have used xanax for sleep. at first it helped, but as i used it i needed more of it to do the trick. ive also been prescribed sleeping pills and had no luck. what i have found to be the best solution for me is a mixture of over the counter drugs. NOT AT THE SAME TIME!!! i will use unisom(2 pills) one night. the next night i will use tylenol pm(2pills), anything that causes drowsiness can help. i know "pills" arent the answer, but for poeple like you and i they are.

you know your body and what it needs. do what you have to do. i will even use nyquil to try and get a couple hours of restful sleep.

taking any kind of med for an extended period of time will build resistance and be less effective. try mixing it up with some milder sedatives rather than the pain and anxiety pills you can only get with a prescription!!! good luck!

have you ever heard of taken antihistamine and melatonin 300mcg...it works for me!..
even the generic brand..... i pay $3 at the dollar store for both...you can take one of
each an hour before bed time or two....
the PM's always gave me leg cramps at night
and nyquil has alchol in it.... so someone
told me about this method...you might want to
try it to ween you off the xanax...another hint too,
the benadrl is good for the spring season....
good luck [^]

my prayers are with all of you.... kathy
