Default Removing Duragesic Patches

Please Help Us.

My Mother is currently using the Duragesic patches for pain control. The problem is, it hurts more for us to remove the patches from her body than it benefits her having it on. Does ANYBODY know of a easy, painless (or at least less painful) way of removing these patches? She is in her last stages of cancer and we would like to lessen her pain in any way possible, but we need to have these patches because she cannot swallow anymore.

Thank you in advance,
BlueEyesLA

Before you go to remove it put some Vaseline around the edges and let it set for awhile. After its set like that, start at the edge of the patch and slowly peel off with your fingertips under the patch. Wash the skin and dry good where the old patch has been and pick a new area for the next one.
