I am new to the medicine topamax and seem to be doing fine and have had a few of the side effects that i have been told and read about like the tingling in the feet and hands and the carbonated drinks. But the doctor just upped my dose 3 days ago to 100 mgs a day and something new has occurred and im wondering if anyone else has experienced it.....my tounge feels funny. Not just when i drink carbonated drinks but almost all the time, like if I had maybe burnt it by eating something to hot, but I know that I didnt do that. So lots of thing, lots and lots of things are tasting kinda funny, kinda flat like.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

yes, I had the same reactions. I also had really loud ringing in the ears, and horrible confusion. felt like an idiot at times. if they get too bothersome, you may have to stop taking it.

had to stop taking medicine. kept getting worse.
