My Boyfriend had a drug test a couple of days ago and they sent it to a lab for further tesing. They called today with the result and said he tested negative for marijuana but postive for Marinol. He hasnt takin marinol but it was in his system how is that possabile? He does smoke Marijuana on occasion thoe.

that sounds funny to me. Marinol is a synthetic form of THC, but as far as I know THC is THC and tests to differentiate the two may be possible, but why? maybe cutoffs for certain metabolites are different, but I imagine that the test detected the THC from your boyfriends pot smoking. Did he do any "detoxes" or "cleansers" before the test? that may account for the discrepency, but it does sound fishy.
