Hey. Ive been proscribed
prozac, 20mg daily. I also have been diagnosed ADD. However, my doctor will not prescribe any medication for my ADD. He said that the combination of both these drugs will make the flow of serotonin unpredictable and irregular (more irregular than a lack of serotonin, aka "depression") He also said some other ****, which i can't recall. I cannot verify the authenticity of my doctors statement, however i do believe him to be reliable, and I have total trust in him. I have been using
Methylphenidate (Ritalin), as well as
Adderall (amphetamines) for recreational use for quite a while, and I have not experienced any adverse reactions, aside from light insomnia (which is common with
Ritalin and
Amphetamines ( I have experienced light insomnia when using Prozac[20mg daily] and about 60mg Methylphenidate [insuffulated, oral] daily. Could this mean I do NOT have ADD, when my doc said i did)? Because Ritalin has the opposite reaction when taken by people without ADD/ADHD. This reaction is [central-nervous system] stimulant, and I have experienced the euphoric stimulant effects of Ritalin (and
Concerta) when on Prozac, so Im starting to doubt my ADD.
