Default problem with pain doctor

my doctor said he could not treat nme anymore because i came in early for different meds because the 5 mill percs werent helping after three years of taking them. (three a day is all).So I asked for something a little stronger and he said he couldnt not treat me anymore. Has anyone ever heard of this? So now I have to find a different doc. Its the ****s,im telling you. Now I have to explain to a different doctor what is wrong and where it hurts and pay more money coz im on medicaid and there hardly anymore doctors that take that anymore. I swear.

You are obviously a victim of a doctor caught up in the wave of fear to prescribe pain medecine. IF you have been on percs for three years, then that is bull**** that they cannot increase the dosage. IF they feel you are not really in pain, and just want to get high, then that is ONE big reason why they would discontinue treatment with that drug. Percs contain Oxycodone hydrochloride, which is the main ingredient in oxycontin as you probably know. There is alot about oxy abuse in the news and doctors are scared to prescribe it. Your best bet is going to a pain clinic, to a specialist. This is costly though as you mention. You might seek an online presciption but I have yet to hear of a trustworthy one for pain meds. I am in a similar situation, and if you hear anything, let me know. thanks. best of luck.

I have ex-rays and a ct scan to prove that I have a sciatic nerve problem and a back problem. They cant put their finger on the back problem but its something to do with a disc back there in my lower back. Nothing relieves the pain except for perc 10s and sometimes I have to take morphine. The doctor i had last year went back to hungary. He was prescribing that and breakthru meds. Butg now it seems such a HASSLE TO EXPLAIN TO THESE OTHER DOCTORS. iTS DEPRESSING AS HELL.
