Default On Prednisone-Legs Weak-Is this serious?

My daughter is on a short dose of Prednisone for the second time this month. She just takes 2 a day for 4 days. No problems a few weeks ago but this time just after 3 pills, her legs and arms feel very weak and heavy. They almost feel like she has been working out and needs to stretch them. Of course, today is Sunday, and her doctor is a small town doctor that is in practice alone [no back up dr. on call]. She would have to go to emergency room and she would feel like a big cry baby if is this is nothing!!! The paper that came with the pills said contact doctor if these serious side effects occur: low potassium (confusion, uneven heart rate, extreme thirst, increased urination, leg discomfort, muscle weakness or limp feeling); She called the pharmasist and he said if it gets worse call doctor tomorrow, on Mon. Is it safe to wait??? - and should she take the 2 doses today - she has to go out of town on a trip today, about 2 hours from home and I am kind of worried about her! [She forgot to ask the pharmasist about taking todays 2 doses - DUH!]
Thanks so much, concerned Mom
