I found a bottle of Xanax i use to take. Its dated 5/14/05. Are these old or are they good to take?

Well they will never get dangerous to take, very few drugs do that, one of them is Erythomycin, but Xanax is not one of them. Most drugs, including Xanax just get a little less effective once they are old, so you can still take them, but they may not work as well so you may need to double your dosage.

Try one and see how it works for you, if it doesn't work as well as it used to, add another half of one, see how that works, and do this until you find the effective amount for you of these older pills.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~

Most often, meds are good at least 6 months past the expiration date. The manufacturers put early expirations dates to cover their arses.
