Default Phentermine with D.M. patient

Dear all, my aunt is using phentermine to lose her weight right now by her doctor. She uses more than two different types of insulin all the time. Her pharmacist told her that's ok and no clear drug-drug interaction between phentermine and insulin, just take it on empty stomach in the morming.
My question is,

Q: Phentermine is belong to CNS drug, why it won't influence much on blood glucose? I check many resources and it seems the pharmacist's advice is right, but I'm very curious about why?!!!

Deeply appreciate for response first!

Sincerely Joe
