I just called the pharmacy to ask about prices for my oxycodone prescription and they said it is now illegal for them to give the information out over the phone (This is in the USA). They said because it is a class II controlled substance. Is this in fact true - I'm handicapped in a wheelchair and it's hard to go to five different pharmacies for me to find the best price. Does anyone know anything about this new law ?

there is no new law its just somebody at the pharmacy being an asshole.call around try your local mom and pop pharm.

There is no law. This is someone being a jerk. It's a pretty routine call at the pharmacy for a price check for anything -- including CII's, CIII's. You can't blame folks for wanting to save a buck if they can get it filled somewhere else $50-100 cheaper. (which you often can if you shop around).
