Default percocet stronger then hydro?

Is percocet stronger then hydrocodone? I was told hydrocodone was stronger. My dr. recently switched me to percocet due to building a tolerance to hydrocodone. I have four torn dics. Does anyone know which is stronger? The Dr. said they are about the same just a different make up so my body won't get used to one and it will continue to stop the pain until I see a neurosurgeon. Anyone who has experencied both medications and torn dics, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Milligram for milligram oxycodone is roughly three times stronger then hydrocodone.

All I can add to this is that there are two basic forms of Percocet, Percocet being the brand name for either Roxicet or Endocet. Endocet comes in 5mg/325 while Roxicet is 10mg/325. Mg for Mg, Roxicet is weaker then Endocet and it is my experience both oxycodone and hydrocodone are stronger then Endocet.

I'd like to hear Cats Meow response to whether Hydrocodone is stronger then Endocet. Wouldn't it be nice if drugs.com posted a list of drugs based on their potency correlated with their uses? (Or have I not done my homework and there is such a list)?

Spy, Endocet is just Endo Pharmaceuticals name brand for Oxycodone with Acetaminophen, so therefore it is stronger, mg for mg.
Endocet, Percocet, Roxicet, Tylox, etc are all only brand names.

Then according to this website, morphine IS stronger than oxycodone. I was chastised more than once for stating such.

Jesus Christ will help you through. -Betsy

No Betsy, you must have looked at it wrong, oxycodone is 1.5-2x stronger then morphine.

Much of your post is wrong info, look at my second link, at brand names and strengths.
Maybe this is what you're looking for?

Thank you for correcting me Cat. My info came from my pharmacist and I must have misunderstood her statement. Also, thanks for the links---they do help considerably.
However, in the second link, I found the Endo I'm using from Endo Pharm with the "E712 10/325" imprint but notice further down a Endo "Percocet 10/325" imprint. Is this a stronger version? As the numbers for the strength (oxy/acet) are the same, how/why is this?

Both percocet and endocet are the same, percocet is Endo's name brand, while endocet is their generic, they should be exactly the same save the imprint.

I've taken both for neck pain post two neck surgeries; I'm no specialist, but the Percocet is definitely stronger than the Hydrocodone. When the Hydrocodone failed to help my neck pain, my physician prescribed Percocet.
