hi I was on paxil from feb to aug then was weined off well at the start of this month I got all stressed and remembered i had some paxil left so I started taking it.. I only take 12.5mgs but wow the second time on paxil even that small dosage I had such side effects up all night flatline like mood. I sorta abused it too.
Does anyone know if these side effects or taking too much at once can make the depression worse even after I have stopped taking it completly? I was only back on it for about two weeks and doc said to stop if it was bugging me.
My main question is going back on it and then off do you think it actually made my depression worse or was I actually really depressed?

Arrow back on the menu two topics to Paxil Long Term Use. See my post there about Paxil. When you are not taking your drugs as directed or going on and off, you can have lots of problems. Paxil has the shortest half life of all the SSRI's. That means when you stop taking it, it is only left in your body a matter of hours so you go into withdrawal very fast. There are much safer drugs you could try for depression with less side effects, Wellbutrin XL is one.
