I was hoping that somebody could help me with a question. My girlfriend was recently prescribed paroxetine hcl for her depression, and I was just curious if it is going to interact poorly with any marijuana that she might happen to smoke. The information I've found so far has been pretty limited, and I don't want anything bad to happen to her. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm assuming your girlfriend was prescribed the Paroxetine (Paxil) for depression, as the drug is an SSRI. No, nothing bad will immediately happen to her if she smokes. However, if she is serious about overcoming depression and you want to help her help herself, you'll refrain. Studies are still being conducted on marijuana's effect on the brain and links to depression. Drinking is also a BIG no-no on Paxil. I learned the hard way when I received a prescription for Paxil instead of my usual Prozac and got so sick. I'm sure you'll think of other ways to have a good time.
