Default Pancreatic enzymes

I suffer from recurrent/chronic pancreatitis. The doctors have prescribed Viokase, but it is very expensive. I have been told that Panokase is a generic for Viokase, but my internet research does not support that information. Can anyone sort this out for me?

I believe the med you are talking about is Pancrease which is the same as Ultrace there are many generic versions of this drug includinf Catazym, Creon, Digess, Ku-Zyme, Lipram, and Zymase.

You will find formulation information on Viokase (tablets and powder) at
http://www.drugs.com/PDR/Viokase_Tablets.html

Unfortunately, the same information does not appear to be available for Panokase. This product is manufactured by Breckenridge Pharmaceutical Inc. and there is no info on their website
http://www.breckenridgepharma.com/
They do have contact details on the site, so it may be worth calling them.
