Anyone have a prob with their stomach not properly emptying after taking painkillers? I've noticed this every once in a while if I end up getting sick. At first I noticed that I would throw up what seemed to be a gallon of water even though I wasn't chugging or even drinking water at what I would call a fast pace.

Then the other night, I threw up chunks of the next pill that I had taken hours ago which led me to this conclusion. I found one reference to powerful narcotic painkillers causing such a reaction but it wasn't very information as to the mechanisms or reason. This isn't related to any one brand/type of painkiller.

Has anyone had this experience?

If you're not used to taking opiates then you can get nausea and throw up.This is quite common when you first start taking them.It does pass after a few days.Ever notice that when you get a pain shot at the hospital it always has gravol in it so you won't throw up.
You can buy gravol or any other anti-nauseant if you want to.Good luck......Dave
