I have been taking tylenol 3 for bad migranes, however I ran out and have been taking some lortabs that my mother gave me.. Will I be ok since I have a prescription to tylenol 3, or will lortab show up as something different?

Tylenol 3 is not the same drug as Lortab. The answer to your question is it depends on what drug test they give you. I would either try to get a script for the Lortab or get some more Tylenol 3s and be safe. Would be a drag to bust a drug test over a few pills.

I took a drug test for the P.O. about 4yrs ago and I can't remember what exactly they tested for, but there was either 4 or 6 slots to test the urine. So figure pot, coke, heroine, etc... I think there were 4 slots the more I think about it, but not positive. I would go to the doc and try to get a script or if you still have your old bottle bring it with you. You can even get a print out from the pharmacy saying you were prescribed that medication. Lortabs is hydrocodone so at least try for a script for some weak vicodin.

They show up different, codeine metabolizes into morphine and so does heroin, so a positive hit for codeine could be for one of the three, but hydrocodone shows up uniquely. Both codeine and hydro are a standard panel on all drug tests.
