Default oxycontinCR 10mg PLEASE REPLY

what is the equivalent to this as far as morphine?????? I think Im being under medicated because my other doc gave me 100 mg of morphine 3 times a day and this doc is giving me oxycontin 10 CR twice a day. Is that under or about the same????

Oxycontin is almost 2x stronger than Morphine, but the dose that your physician gave you is somewhat lower than what you were taking before (morphine tabs.). The Oxycontin is the same thing as the Percocet that you were taking minus the Acetominifin, and Oxycontin is also time release, where Percocet is not. You are currently taking a lower dose than you were on, but not by that much. The Oxycontin gives you a small amount of painkiller slowly all day, where the Morphine and Percocet were getting to you right away. I would call your Doctor and tell him that you are in pain, and he should be able to help you out if he is a concerned and understanding Doctor. Let me know how you make out.
