 OxyContin Question Does oxycontin work if u take it sublingual (under the tounge)? like i know if you take the time release off then you by-pass the time release. So then if you crush up like 10mg of Oxycodone and let the powder dissolve under your tounge will it be absorbed??

Well why wouldn't it be? It would be absorbed like anything else if you did that. But if you are going to bother to defeat the time release, crush it up and etc. then why do it that way? I guarantee it will taste disgusting. You will get it fast enough by snorting it as some people do or by swallowing it.
Seems a silly thing to do anyway, if you ask me, but you didn't so go to it.

If You Take The Coating Off And Do That It Could Also Be Very Dangerous. Too Much Of The Oxycodone Could Be Absourbed Too Quickly. The Time Released Coating Is On There For A Reason And Shouldnt Be Removed. If The Time Released Oxycotin Isnt Working For You And The Immediate Release Works Better I Would Talk With YOur Doctor And Have It Changed.

If you read this person's other posts on here, you will see that he/she is a proponent of drug abuse. They are always looking for new ways to catch a buzz, but claim they are not addicted and are in control of their drug abuse. YEAH RIGHT!
If you are that desperate to get your high, why even worry about putting it under your tongue? It will just taste disgusting, why not just snort it or shoot it up? I mean, if you are going to do something that stupid anyway, you might as well go all the way.
And Rscprincess is correct, you could end up giving yourself a fatal dose, but I am guessing you are convinced it could never happen to you, as are most drug abusers.
Heavy narcotics such as Oxycodone, Morphine, Methadone or Fentanyl should not be used at all by someone who doesn't already have a tolerance built up to narcotics, if someone isn't used to taking narcotics on a regular basis, they can have severe adverse reactions, go into shock, or even OD on the lowest doses of these.
So people who have not been on other narcotics prior to using these strong opiates and then just suddenly throw this stuff into their bodies are really [u]playing Russian Roulette with drugs instead of bullets.</u>

My Lord I Dont Think Some People Will Ever Learn. Its Not Like There Are All These People In Kahoots Just To Answer These Qeustions With Lies. If That Many People Are Telling One Person "Um No Thats Not A Good Idea You Could Become Addicted Or Possibly Kill Yourself" Why Does The Next Person Or In This Case The Same Person Continue To Ask These Repetative Questions? Open Your Eyes And Read. You Will Continually Find That The Ways That Are Sometimes Suggested By People Taking These Medications In The Wrong Way, Not To Mention Probably Illeagally, Is Not A Good Idea And Anyone In Their Right Mind Is NOT Going To Agree With You Or Tell You How To Take These Incorrectly. When I was younger I thought the same way! Its just not having experience along with peer pressure does funny things to your mind. I wasn't old enough to drink did it keep me out of bars back then? Of course not......That was cool. I was cool having a fake id. It seems so silly but he is still young. Still has a lot to learn if you couldn't tell from his posts!
