Oxycontin & Muscle Spasms

I am getting muscle spasms all over my body since increasing my dosage of oxycontin. Maybe one every couple of minutes or so. I guess this is a normal side effect, although my doctor does not think that it is as big of deal as it is. I am taking Flexaril for it, and it is not effective.

What would stop the twitches best? Maybe Valium?

Hi, I have never heard of that side effect... is there a chance that the spasms aren't a side effect of the oxy but a different symptom of whatever you are suffering from?

My opinion -- I took flexeril and it did nothing for me. I tried a few other muscle relaxers too, which did not relieve my painsful spasms. The only MR I have taken that worked and still take is Soma. I'm not sure about the valium -- I know it's been used for that but I don't have any experience there. Good luck!
