OXY ER question

I have oxy er 20mg, I know it says not to cut them. But if I cut a 20mg in half would that be about the same as a 10mg percocet minus the apap? I don't want to crush them or snort or chew them. I just want to lower the mg I don't care so much about the ER part of it. Thanks,

Yes it would. I sometimes crushed and swallowed 20mg oxycontin tabs instead of taking four 5mg instant release tabs.

Cutting it will in effect make it instant release.
