Question Oxycontin Question

This question is directed to oxycontin patients.

I have been an intractable pain patient for around 8 years now. Over the past 12 months I have had some problems with different medications mostly generics. Last summer I received what I was told by my doctor counterfeit tablets (probably from china) of brand name oxycontin which he immediately flushed and provided me another prescription. I ended up loosing the money as the pharmacy needed the bad medication to return to the manufacturer.
From that point on I have kept an eye on every medication I take by familiarizing myself with different characteristics of each tablet or capsule.
I have just picked up a script for brand name (Purdue) oxycontin and it seems like every 8hr dose is extremely inconsistent something is defiantly wrong. I examined the tablets and noticed the markings on the front 80 and the back OC are not uniformed. In other words if you look at the front of the tablet and center the 80 at 9 and 3 O'Clock position then slowly turn the tablet over the OC should should be stamped at the 9 and 3 O'Clock position matching the front and should be uniformed on each tablet. Needless to say with these these tablets every tablet is different with some tablets having the OC marking back wards. This medication does have some active ingredient in it where as the other seemed to have none.
I tried calling the Purdue Co and they were not any help bedsides its a strange question to ask or even try to get across to someone. My doctor who I have only been seeing for a short time and pharmacy he sens me to are 3.5 hrs away and I don't want to make any trouble. He is one of the best PM doctors in the country.
NEED SOME ASSISTANCE, IF THERE ARE ANY MEMBERS WHO ARE LEGITIMATE PAIN PATIENTS THAT ARE CURRENTLY BEING PRESCRIBED
10mg, 20mg, 40mg OR 80MG BRAND (PURDUE) OXYCONTIN could you check your tablets for the above stated condition and let me know what you find so I will know for sure and be able to address it.

I would greatly appreciate it,

Thanks for your time

Yes the 80 and the OC shouldnt be at 12 oclock and 12 oclock ive never seen a 40 a 20 or an 80 where they lined up... now if you are buying 80's on the street theres been 10,000's of fake 80s made and are IDENTICAL to real 80s but i wouldnt worryabout that like u said u got the from the pharmacy
