Hi, I find that my morphine makes me hot - even in quite mild temperatures I feel overheated and pour with sweat. Living in Austrailia doesn't help - at least I am in Melbourne. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I spent 3 years on fentanyl patches where the effect was even more dramatic - my psych. at the time said he could always tell his patients on fentanyl as they walked around with tea shirts in mid-winter. These are the only anacdotal reports I have ever heard and would love to hear of any others. Incidently, I take 480mg slow release caps per day and sometimes suppliment that with doses of fast acting stuff of up to 80mg.

This is a common side effect with the stronger opiates.Your doctor can order you something if your sweating alot.Good luck.....Dave
