Arrow One Time Suboxone Treatment??

I've tried everything possible to quit. I've been addicted to opiates for 7 years now. I have a very high tolerance, and no legitimate reason to use them. I don't want to go down the methadone road. I've always been told it's harder to come off of methadone than Oxycontin. Plus I still get that "high" when I take methadone. I don't want to be high anymore. I just want to live a normal life. My only problem is withdrawal. I can't go to work feeling that way. I've also tried suboxone. It made me very nervous and unable to sleep. I read on a website yesterday however that some doctors think it's best to take suboxone one time only. I'm guessing like wait until the 2nd or 3rd day when withdrawal is at it's worst, and then you take the suboxone. So I guess you kinda skip the withdrawal? I'm not really sure how this process works, and that's why I'm here. I've taken suboxone, so I know the effects of it. I have never tried to take it as a "one time" dose. I just want to know if anyone else has and if so did it work for you?

You will only avoid W/D until the SubO wears off, there's no way to avoid W/D it's a fact of life, you can only minimize it by tapering down. It makes no sense to take SubO once, and in your situation it would do absolutely nothing to curb your addiction. That website you got that from is full of nonsense.
You're right about one thing, Methadone isn't the way to go, and it is the hardest drug in the world to come off of. Suboxone is the ticket for you, but you need a treatment plan from a doctor, not the way you used it in the past, so don't base that experience in your decision.
After you quit SubO you will still have some W/D's, but you'll be titrated down and they will be minimized and not severe.
