Hi. I am working in the drug treatment industry and have been asked several times if olanzapine could give a positive result for a benzodiazepine test.

I have discovered that olanzapine (Zyprexa) is a thienobenzodiazepine, which would suggest a possible cross-reaction, but some people have said that with olanzapine being a different drug to benzodiazepine, it probably won't cross-react.

Any information on this topic would be very helpful thank you.
