I am on 100mg of Lamictal ( generic) and 30mg of Remeron( generic), I have a horrible flu and really need to take some Nyquil tonight.

I am wondering if I could take the Nyquil in addition to my meds, or if I should skip the meds and just take the Nyquil?

Does anyone have any info or experience around these drugs and interactions?

There is moderate potential for drug interactions resulting in respiratory depression. I would not take very much nyquil along with the Remeron specifically. Just be careful.

Thanks Robert - It's hard to decide, suffer with this horrible flu, or take the Nyquil and ease all the flu symptoms.

I have decided to take a half of dose of the Nyquil, and skip the Remeron for tonight. I will call pharmacy in the A.M. and ask them.

i am on 500mg of lamictal p/day. i have epilepsy and it really helps. i have been taking this pill for 8 years now i get sick, well, moms a nurse and shes ok'd it so im all good. i just got over the flu, i took nyquil, and guess what? im still here. benadryl is ok too. no worries, youre good.
