Default novolog 70/30 with lantus what are the effecets?

My brother was on novolog 70/30 flex pen and lantus.
He was doing this for 10 month's as the dr.prescribed it.
He suffered 2 heart attacks.
And it accelerated his diabetes.
His dr, says'(no signs of a heart attack)but yet he need's coreg to keep him going.
if not he will drop dead.
are these the effect's of these 2 drug's do this to a person.
no one seem's to know.
now he is on the right meds lantus and humalog come to find out the dr.made a mistake.
and yes we notified a lawyer.
please inform me it is very important

They're both insulin, one would think its effects would be accumulative, causing the blood sugar to become too low resulting in hypoglycemia.
Signs of hypoglycemia include increased heartbeat, headache, chills, sweating, tremor, increased hunger, changes in vision, nervousness, weakness, dizziness, drowsiness, or fainting.
Eating sugar should help with that.
I'm certainly not a Dr, that's about all I can tell you.
