ive read everyones comments about lexipro.. i used it a few months ago and was fine, though i came off them too early and have just been put back on them.

aside from a bit of fatigue (that seems to be getting better now), my jaw seems stiff and im wondering if anyone else has had this side effect before? if it is a side effect and if it gets better?

i am on 10mg a day, and although advised to start on 5mg and work up to the 10mg, i went straight on to the 10mg daily.

just want to add something.. on friday night hubbie had a few friends over and i had a glass of red wine.. 1 glass!

i woke up yesterday with a mind blowing headache - like someone was taking a hammer to my head and it lasted all day...

today it is gone.

i havent had headaches yet while taking lexapro, though i have read everyones stories and know that some have experienced them..

i was wondering if my headache yesterday would have been from the 1 glass of wine i had?

if so.. im never drinking again while on this stuff. im not game enough to even have a sip!

I don't know about the alcohol. Maybe the warning on the bottle that says something like 'alcohol may intensify effects' reffers to that, or you just had a headache. But about the jaw thing, do you clench your teeth? My mom did that a lot on lexapro. She got a bite plate for at night and it went away. Maybe you could look out for some clenching.

I have been on Lexipro for week for Depression resulting from OCD. I had a headache the very firt night, like caffeine withdrawl. I had a glass of wine with Lexipro and there were no headaches from the wine... just the first night i took Lexipro... The third day I was feeling fantastic. The only side effects I have had is the first night headache, dry mouth, loss of appetite (which is good) and difficulting sleeping which is getting much better.. Other than that... nothing except feeling great.. I am worried reading about the withdrawl...but heck.. my life was unbearable before... At least I can function now in a critical part of my life. I drink a lot of water, exercise, and sleep well now... I will see what happens when they take me off I take 10 mg.
