| | Mixing Painkillers and Alcohol Does anyone have an idea of how many hours after taking a light-moderate amount of painkillers it would be safe to drink alcohol in excess?

| | Hydrocodone for example lasts for about 4 hours but takes 30-45 minutes to work, so to be safe I'd say wait 6 hour minimum from the time you took it, a doctor would probably say double that, wait 12 hours.
If you don't post tomorrow, I guess I'll know why.
Know when to say when.

| | I have taken my Lortab 10's and then gone out drinking, it really did nothing, i usually have about 3-5 drinks and I always take my pain med before going out anyway. All my experience has given is that is kind of enhances your drinking buzz but unless you take an excessive amount of meds you'll be fine. Just don't drive either way. |

| | Aw, Cats, have some faith in me! You know I'm too paranoid about what I put in my body to **** anything. No matter what anyone would have told me was the time limit, I still would have given it about four hours extra to be safe. It was just that I had gotten off a nine-hour shift on my feet since 5:30 in the morning and wanted relief but still wanted to drink at a friend's birthday party last night. I would never take a **** like that.

| | Forget about Jesus helping you and help thyself, know yourself, try reading a little "Kierkegaard". Try "Self-Deception and Cowardice in the Present Age" by John Douglas Mullen , it's a esay read packed with "good stuff". Good Luck. |

Soren Kierkegaard never helped anyone or saved anyone from anything but from failing a stupid philosophy class. You forget Jesus for yourself and allow everyone else who chooses to believe to do as they choose. Don't try to impress people here because you can quote a couple of authors' names who several might not know who you are talking about.
Your choices as well as Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling, Sickness Unto Death, I've read them all. I still choose Jesus thank you very much. Lots of us went to college by the way. God bless.
