Since my surgery, (shoulder repair) last week, I have been given Vicodin, Demerol, and Tylox. The Vicodin just doesn't work (only makes me sleep)the demerol works great, too good, I feel spacey and incoherent. My question is: Can I mix these meds to find a middle ground, like 1 Vicodin + 1 Demerol = Pain free, but still able to think straight?

Probably best to talk to your doctor.
It may be easier to adjust dosages.
