I new at this and a little lost, I have been off work for 5 weeks now - my Dr has pretty much given up on me and just keeps me medications. I have High Blood pressure, I was on Azor he took me off and put me on Lisinopril 40mg 1xd,clonidine hcl .2mg 3xd ,amlodipine besylate 10 mg 1xd plus a water pill 25mg 1xd. After about 9 days I was having side effects, panic attacks, could not sleep, slurred speech, stutering, could not keep my balance - he decided to clear my body of all meds - Nothing for 17 days. I went back to him then, my blood pressure was 210/120, so he put me back on the azor, but added xanax 4 mg an seqouel 300 mg a day and took me off the rest. I went back a week later and said that I was have hallicinations, bad. He told me that it was my body getting used to the new meds. Nexted week went in told him that it was worse an that i could not even sleep because I was so afraid to close eyes. The he tells me that he thinks that I am Bipolar or schizophrenia...... I told him that none of these symtoms started until you played around with my meds. I told him to check me for a mild stroke, since I was still slurring my words, stutering and could not walk straight - he says that the scan came back clear, but my symtoms are still here. So now he wants to send me to a physiologist. I am so frustrated, I just want an answer. I'm 44 been in good health all my life except for the high blood pressure, worked 40 + hrs a week, raised a child, so how can in 5 weeks my lif fall apart with no answer to give me ????

I would get a second opinion ASAP. If you've been totally perfect your whole life and you're 44 years old, now suddenly you're having all these problems and it goes right along with the med changes, I am inclined to agree with you. It's either the meds or you have a problem that needs to be discovered. I would get an appointment with another dr until I was satisfied with the results. Let us know. God bless.

Hi morrism
I agree with Robert, I would go to another Doctor he put you on a lot of meds, The xanax alone would wipe you out if your not use to taking it.

I have been on high blood presser meds before and I know some of them just don't agree with your body...

Please go see another Doctor and see what they have to say...
There is something not right with what he is doing...

Let us know how you are doing...
Talk to you soon, Melinda
