I just found some pills my husband had called methadose, this is what the pill said on the front. I know that these pills were not prescribed and I have suspected him of taking some type of pills for the last 4 months because of his behavior change (falling asleep at unusual times, thick tounge, etc..., these symptoms are usually worse if he is drinking. Can you tell me more information on this drug and could he be getting it illegally. I have three small children and he is turning my life upside down!!!!! Thanks for the advice!

methadone is a powerful narcotic painkiller.It has and is used for opiate addiction.It is also being used more and more for chronic pain.Methadone has a long half life so the effects can last up to 36hours after it is taken.Drinking alchohol and taking methadone is a very dangerous practise and you should stop him from doing it.He can fall asleep after drinking and taking the methadone and die of respitory failure.This is no joke, get after him to come clean and tell you whats going on or he is headed for more trouble then the both of you can imagine(take it from someone that's been there)......Good luck....Dave
