Default Methadose 10 or Norco 10/325 ? ? ?

Hello,

I posted this earlier in another forum and got zero response so I will try again here.

I take Norco 10/325 2 at a time, 2x daily. Prescribed by my doctor legitamately.

I ran out and cannot get in to see my doc for another day or so due to him being on vacation !!!

I have (2) old Methadose 10 tablets that were given to me to try several years ago and I never did. So...can I use those in the mean time? Are they too old to be affective ? Too strong compared to the Norco I am used to?

HELP

Tom

Default Nobody has anything to say ? ? ?

I am in PAIN here!!! Yet I do not want to overdose or take something that will not be affective. I will NOT buy this stuff illegally off the street so I am forced to wait for my Doctor or try what I have here. Methadose 10. Another name for methadone. I have researched the stuff here at drugs.com. Still need the information that can only be obtained by talking to you people who are in the trenches.

SO...ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to here your predicament.

Yes, yes, yes you can take those and you should be fine for at least a day. Luckily, methadone lasts a very long time in your system, ie it has a very slow metabolism. I know this because a good friend of mine switched from hydrocodone to oxycodone instant release. He was started on 15mg 4 times a day but was waking up in the night feeling like ********************. He has a VERY fast metabolism; thus, it went thru his system quickly and his body needed more thru the night. His Dr offered methadone because it lasted much longer. Oh, and it should still work as long as it hasnt been in direct sun light for a period of time. Start by taking 1 and see if you can get by the entire day. Hope that helps.

One more thing, research Kratom. Its a plant made into powder that reacts similar to opiates by attaching to the opiate receptors. It has saved me a couple of times(I take hydro as well). I get it from www.iamshaman.com which has the best prices and best quality. AND it is legal.

Ok. Thank you Siestakeys....

I also took a 5 mg valium about two hours ago to help with some of my anxiety from all of this, on top of a ********************py Monday at work. Do you think that will have an adverse reaction with the Methadose? My Doctor has prescribed the Valium to be Taken in conjuction with my usual Norco's. This leads me to believe that it will be ok with the Methadose but I want to be sure. Don't want to pass out cold in my office and have everyone wonder what I'm doing.

You should be fine. Dr's prescribe valium with oxycodone all the time as a muscle relaxer. Personally, I hate valium bc it gives my anxiety when it wears off; however, it should also help you sleep tonight if you have to go thru minor withdrawals. And believe me, it will help you sleep.

Benzodiazepines and methadone can be a deadly combo.

Default deadly

now you did not have enough methadone to do any real damage but like cats meow said it is a deadly combination. about 80 percent of deaths involving methadone involves a benzo taken with it. so i would not suggest doing it again. mixing methadone and benzos is the closest thing you will get to a heroin high off of legal medicine, even more so than hillbilly heroin oxycontin, which i personally think is nothing like the heroin high. hope this helped brad

Default I'm Still Here

Its ok.

I am still alive....and the doc refilled the NORCO.
I only ended up taking 1/2 of a methadose 10. Hardly felt anything really, other than the lack of any serious pain. The pain became a dull soreness in the background for a while. So if that's heroin then whats the big deal. I suppose I would need to take much more of each drug to get that sort of feeling. That begs the question...why not just do the real thing...heroin?

Not for me anyway. Now that I have my regular meds back I am fine.

**Not sure if I quoted correctly but, sit the red colored sentence. You said that you hardly felt anything other than the lack of serious pain....!?!?! THATS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE MEDS. This might come as a surprise but, script's are not supposed to be taken for a high, but merely to reduce chronic pain.

forgive me if im jumping on here but, seriously- seems to me as if you're ONLY looking for drugs and docs to give you "buzz meds", and NOT to treat your pain. i would keep a eye on yourself my man, you could be heading for a dis-aster.

Default Methadone/Methadose versus heroine

Your exactly the typical drug abuser with that statement because your looking to get high off of the methadone and its not going to happen no matter how much you take. Methadone works completely differently than heroine does in the body and is stored in the fat and burned by the muscles not metablolized in the liver and sent to the Central Nervous System like Heroine is. Please stay away from both if you can serious withdrawals from both medicines can occur and let me tell you from personal expereince, I have layed in bed for 30 days shaking shivering, sweating, vomiting, not sleeping, aching, my back and kidneys killing me from detoxing off of Methadone. I have never used Heroin but I know that its a physchotropic drug that really fools with the mind. Listen I am putting together a "Bible" of liviing through real experiences from people all over the world and I would like to talk to you and put you in my book if you have a really good story to tell me. Please write me at mbales5459@aol.com so that we can talk. Also I have been doing this now for 25 years and I have tried every drug there is out there so I can tell you the in's and out's of each and the positive and negative of each as well. I hope to hear from you soon
take care

Default Old drugs

Tom,
throw the old methadose out immediately, its much better to be safer not taking the drug than taking a drug that is that far out of date and having something happen to you especially since the potency of the methadose is so high. I would recommend that you just wait until your doctor gets back from vacation and if the pain gets to bad you can always go to the emergency room. Dont expect a hand full of pills at the ER though but they should give you enough to get you buy until you can see your regular doctor.
Sincerely,
mark

Default out of Norco

I am sorry that you ran out of Norco but i highly advise against taking the out of date metadose beacuse it may make you very sick. Medcines are given strict dates of effaciacey because the ingredients in the medicines has what you call a 1/2 life. The 1/2 of any medicine is the amount of time it takes from the exact time you take it to the time that it has reached its peak potentail in your body. As you can see the old outdate methadose should be thrown away as it could be dangerous. You will have to wait to see your doctor when he/she gets back into town to get back on your normal dosing of medicine. My question to you is wy did you run out and why did you have only such a few pills when you knew that your doctor was not going to be in the office. I am writing a book and would very much like for you to write to me your life story as it relates to drugs and or addictions or diseases of addiction. I can be reached at mbales5459@aol.com at anytime. Please again do not take the old medicine throw it out and contact me for further help
sincerely,
mbales5459@aol.com
