Question Lyrica?

I have just been prescribed Lyrica. I am on alot of other meds, all of which my doctor and pharmacist know of.. but when I looked up the side effects it scared the heck outta me. Anyone have any experience taking this... I also take Vicodin, Soma and sometimes Percocet for my pain (depends on the day, how bad it is) Does it work? Will it make me feel loopy? I just want something to help with this pain.. without having to go to the ER once a week when my current meds aren't working. Do I have to take it all the time?, when I looked it up on here it said to take it everyday at the same time.. etc.. nothing about taking it as needed for pain.

Default Lyrica

Hey i was prescribed Lyrica awhile back. It is closely related to the drug Nuerotoin (Gabapentin). I found that it didn't help my pain (seeing that it's for nerve pain). But I have heard other report that it may indeed increase the effects of oxycodone in particular. It even says that on the phaphlet that comes with the script.. gotta go ill talk later

try it, you never know it might help. Some people it helps a lot, others it won't. But unless you try you will never know. Tell your doctor your concerns and see what they have to say. (pay no mind to the other poster their advice is not useful, they seem to think that medicine is a fun game for getting high on, not for helping manage what ails you). If the Lyrica doesn't work you might want to try cymbalta. you should not be going to the er that often. go see pain dr. Usually your doctor will make you sign something for the er with the meds you're taking. Does your doctor know that you are going to the ER that frequently?
