lorazapan is generic for ativan, a very addictive benzodiazapene tranquilizer. Longer half life then others. Used for pre surgery sedative, usually prescribed for extreme panic attacks, seizure, or severe alcohol withdrawel. They work for these things, but are usually closely supervised. also abused downers, magnifying a fd up alchol buzz and extremely and quickly addictive. Very hard to get off, so when a legitimate doctor prescribes them, patient is monitered closely, and usually switched to alprazolzm if left on his own out of a hospital. He either has a serious seizure or psychotic or anxiety problem, or he
s an abuser.

Thanks for the help. That sucks though. Guess I have to ask him about it then.

if you are not a former user yourself, you need this advice, if he is addicted to them, he will lie very convincingly. If he says its a severe medical condition, dont question it , understand and watch, and never let him drink on them, or drive. The truth will come out. Good luck.
