I would like to know what is the MG of ibuprofin and how do you know what mg you are taking daily? After reading the posts I am so scared about my liver. I have been taking hydrodone, oxycodone since by back injury. What number describes the MG of ibuprofin that I am taking. And is ibuprofin or acetametiphin bad for you liver? I have been on these for at least 4 years. Is there a website that shows a comparison of dosages of different medicines

The first number is the active ingredient, in your case either hydrocodone or oxycodone, the second is, in your case, acetaminophen since it's 500mg, hydro with ibuprofen are always 200mg. No, Ibuprofen is not dangerous to the liver to the best of my recollection, acetaminophen can be toxic at the 4000mg/day dose, but it does take time for the damage to occur.

Ibuprofen can damage your stomach very seriously if you take it on an empty stomach too much. My aunt had been doing so for several years and eventually developed a painful stomach ulcer. Be careful about that, eat a cracker or something when you take ibuprofen products. Even hydrocodone itself hurts my stomach when I take it without eating.
