Default Lipitor...what should I do?

Hi -

For someone who barely took an aspirin most of my like, I have been through the medication ringer for the last 3 years. Many of the meds were to help with PCOS (for those of you that know what that is). I took myself off all of those at the end of the year last year due to weight gain, hair loss and fatigue.

A few months ago I had a blood test for cholesterol and all my levels were terrible. My doctor put me on 10mg of Lipitor - forced back on the medicine train. [V]

I just read a Lipitor forum on medications.com and I am freaking out. I have definitely had headaches, a LOT of indigestion and muscle pain. [xx(]

My cholesterol did shoot down in that first month though.

I have no idea what to do. Do I go off and risk my cholesterol going up again or do I stay on it and risk all these other side effects I am hearing about?

Please help. Any advice would help.
