Default librium/yasmin interaction

my doctor put me on Librium and I am already taking Yasmin when I checked the interactions it said that it could "prolong the half-life of the Librium" what does this mean and is it bad

it means the librium will stay in your system longer. the drugs are both eliminated similarly from the body. it is potentially a problem bc you may see more side effects eg sleepiness/sedation
